A recent survey* of 1,000 people revealed a deep dissatisfaction with how HR handle the redundancy process. Over half of those affected felt they were given no extra support and were left with a very poor perception of their previous employer.
The survey also revealed that almost a third of jobseekers told more than 10 people about their treatment by their ex-employer, thus impacting negatively on the employer brand. The prominence of social media also increases the chance of ex-employees spreading damaging views on the organisation.
